Human Physiology

Veda in Human Physiology

Dr. Tony Nader's "Veda in Human Physiology" explains how the ancient Vedic Literature is directly expressed within the structure and functioning of the human body itself. His works, particularly his book, "Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature", details how the four branches and 40 parts of the Vedic Literature correspond to specific physiological structures, functions, and organizing principles within the human system, making the body a "living, breathing Veda".

Physiology as Veda. Dr Nader's central idea is that the human body isn't just a collection of organs and systems, but a physical manifestation of the universal laws described in the Veda.

Correspondence. He identifies specific correspondences between elements of the Vedic literature (such as Rishi, Devata, and Chandas) and their direct expressions within the human nervous system and other elements of the physiology.

Organizing Power. The human physiology contains the infinite organizing power of Nature, which is Veda in material form, enabling life's functions, growth, and achievement.

Holistic Structure. The Veda is understood as having an architectural design that the human body embodies, with each aspect of the Veda having a corresponding element within the physiology.

Enlightenment and Evolution. Understanding this connection allows for growth and evolution, with the brain's development, and even the process of enlightenment, having physiological components that mirror the structures of the Veda.

Scientific Basis. Dr Nader's work is presented as a scientific platform for understanding the individual as a cosmic expression, providing a precise, scientific framework for this understanding.

Dr Tony Nader

Dr. Nader is a Lebanese neuroscientist with a medical degree in internal medicine and a Ph.D. from MIT in neuroscience. 

He is a leader in the worldwide Transcendental Meditation organisation, the successor to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who guided his research into the Vedic Literature. 

Dr Nader’s seminal work, “Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature”, details these discoveries, making it a resource for understanding Veda through the lens of physiology.

Vedic Astrology, or Jyotish, Maharishi says, is the “source of unbounded energy, all-knowingness”. Far from being all about destiny, it is the direct path to complete freedom and fulfilment in life.

Vastu is the design and construction of a building in harmony with natural law – producing health and happiness – through:

RIGHT ORIENTATION. Vastu is the design and construction of a building in harmony with natural law, taking into consideration, for example, the proper orientation of the house with its entrance facing due east or, in some cases, north. This is extremely useful because our health, happiness, and well-being are Influenced by the orientation of the buildings we occupy.

RIGHT PLACEMENT. The strongest influence of natural law comes from the Sun. During its daily travel from east to west the Sun generates different qualities of energy. A home should be so designed that these different energies correspond to the specific function and activity intended for each room. Then natural law will always support each aspect of our daily activity.

RIGHT DIMENSIONS & PROPORTIONS. When a Maharishi Vastu home is planned, proportions and key dimensions, including its length, width and height, are precisely calculated to obtain auspicious measurements which resonate with corresponding cycles of our cosmic counterparts: the Sun, Moon, planets and stars. This brings nourishing and harmonizing influences upon the occupants of the home.

MAHARISHI’S ROLE IN RESTORING “VASTU VIDYA”. Maharishi restored the ancient technology of Vastu Vidya (“Science of Vastu”), the applied technology derived from the Vedic field of Sthapatya Veda, the science of establishing structures in harmony with Natural Law. He spent 20 years researching and assembling all 150 of texts of the Vedic literature that address the subject, meeting extensively with each of the living representatives of six major traditions of Vastu Vidya across India, the “Land of the Veda”, to identify what, within their practices, constituted authentic traditional practice.   • Arrival: Registration and Welcome are open from 2:00 – 4:30 pm on your arrival day. If you need to arrive outside these hours, please contact us at 03300 886 886 or welcome@peacepalace.uk. We're here to help!
  • Departure: The retreat concludes after lunch on the final day, unless specified otherwise. Lunch is served at 12:30 pm. We encourage you to stay for the morning session, as it includes essential insights and guidance to enrich your post-retreat experience.
  • Weekend Retreats: Most retreats begin on Friday. Starting on Saturday is not available unless pre-arranged with the Peace Palace Administration.

TRAVEL BY CAR

Set your course for relaxation by entering IP12 2GX into your SATNAV, Apple Maps, or Google Maps. As you approach the Peace Palace, you'll find our designated parking area right behind the building. Just a friendly reminder, the kerbs are a bit high, so take your time while parking. For quick stops, we have two spaces at the front for unloading or pick-up only.

TRAVEL BY TRAIN

Enjoy a scenic train ride just over an hour and a half from London Liverpool Street Station. Hop on the Norwich train and alight at Ipswich, where you'll switch to the Lowestoft Line heading to Melton. To ensure your journey is smooth and seamless, be sure to book your ticket through to Melton Suffolk (avoid Melton Mowbray!).

TAXI FROM MELTON TO RENDLESHAM

Once you arrive at Melton, a short taxi ride will bring you to our serene sanctuary. Since taxis are based in nearby Woodbridge, it's a good idea to book in advance, especially on Friday afternoons when arrival times can coincide with the School Run. We recommend M&R Cars (01394 386661) and CarsSmart (01394 461 461). Most taxis accept credit cards, but there are exceptions so it's handy to have some cash in Pounds Sterling just in case. We apologise, but the Peace Palace does not have the ability to collect Retreat/Course participants from the station or arrange taxi bookings on your behalf.

  • From Gatwick Airport, catch a train to London Victoria, then choose between the Underground or a taxi to whisk you to London Liverpool Street Station. From there, your peaceful journey to the Peace Palace is just a train ride away.

Welcome to the Peace Palace! We're delighted to have you join us for a revitalizing retreat. Here’s all you need to know to make the most of your stay.

ARRIVAL

Our doors open for Registration and Welcome between 2:00 – 4:30 pm on your arrival day. We can't wait to greet you and start this transformative journey together!

DEPARTURE

You'll depart after a delightful lunch on the final day of your Retreat/Course, unless otherwise announced. Lunch begins at 12:30 pm. We encourage you to stay for the morning session, as it includes essential insights and guidance for your post-retreat journey.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • Dress comfortably in relaxed/smart casual attire. Please also bring suitable clothes for simple Yoga postures and Meditation.
  • Don't forget a pair of slippers or indoor shoes for use inside the Peace Palace.
  • Yoga mats will be provided for your convenience.
  • Please respect our vegetarian ethos by not bringing non-vegetarian items onto the premises.

DINING

Enjoy our delicious organic vegetarian meals with varied set menus for lunch and dinner, and a self-service breakfast. We offer a selection of teas and provide drinking water. Vegan and gluten-free options are available for a small additional cost—please reserve these when booking.

Accessibility

We are fully equipped with facilities for the disabled, including access ramps and a lift, ensuring everyone can enjoy their stay.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We kindly ask participants to refrain from taking photographs of the Peace Palace, both inside and out, to maintain the privacy and tranquility of our space.

No Smoking or Drinking

To preserve the serenity of our environment, the Peace Palace is a no-smoking/no-vape and no-alcohol zone, both inside and in the vicinity.

Health

For everyone's well-being, we ask that anyone experiencing symptoms of a cold or flu refrain from joining the Retreat or Course.
